Beginner Motility Course
Wednesday, Sept. 23
$250
The American Foregut Society Beginner Motility Course is designed to provide a practical foundation in esophageal motility assessment for clinicians new to the field. This course will introduce the interpretation of high-resolution manometry within the framework of Chicago Classification v4.0 diagnoses, as well as provide an introduction to FLIP planimetry and panometry's role in evaluating esophageal function. Through a combination of focused lectures, case discussion, and hands-on breakout sessions, participants will gain experience with the major motility assessment platforms and develop the skills needed to confidently interpret studies in clinical practice.*Participants in this course will be expected to review the AFS' online introduction video series on how to perform HRM prior to attending the course.

*Participants in this course will be expected to review the AFS' online introduction video series on how to perform HRM prior to attending the course.

Target Audience: Gastroenterologists, surgeons, trainees and APPs looking to develop a foundational understanding and practical skills in performing and interpreting high-resolution manometry (HRM) as well as gaining insight into how FLIP panometry can be incorporated into clinical practice.
Advanced Motility Course
 Sunday, Sept. 27
$250
The American Foregut Society Advanced Motility Course is an in-depth program designed for clinicians seeking to expand their expertise in the application of high-resolution manometry and FLIP planimetry/panometry in complex clinical settings. This course will focus on the use of HRM and FLIP motility testing in pre-procedural evaluation, intra-procedural guidance during esophageal interventions such as myotomy and anti-reflux surgery, and the assessment of recurrent or persistent symptoms following intervention. Through expert-led sessions and interactive case discussions, participants will refine their interpretive skills and develop advanced strategies for integrating motility data into procedural decision-making and post-procedural management.

Target Audience: Gastroenterologists, surgeons, trainees and APPs seeking to strengthen their skills in high-resolution manometry (HRM) interpretation and the clinical application of FLIP panometry, particularly in the management of complex, challenging medical and surgical cases in foregut disease.
Endoscopic Surgery: Tips, Tricks and Innovations from the Experts
Thursday, Sept. 24
$250
This dynamic, four-hour pre-program session offers an immersive educational experience at the cutting edge of foregut flexible endoscopic surgery. Designed for practicing endoscopists, surgeons, and advanced endoscopy fellows, the session combines the immediacy of live case demonstration with the clarity and consistency of expertly curated procedural video — delivering a high-yield learning environment that is both engaging and reproducible.

Lightly edited procedural videos simulate the rhythm and decision-making of live operative cases, preserving the authenticity of real clinical scenarios while ensuring optimal instructional quality. Each case is presented and moderated by internationally recognized leaders in foregut endoscopy, who guide attendees through their clinical reasoning, technical approach, and nuanced decision-making in real time.

Throughout the program, expert faculty will share the practical tips and tricks that define excellence in the field — the subtle instrument maneuvers, patient positioning strategies, tissue handling techniques, and troubleshooting approaches that are rarely captured in the published literature but are invaluable in daily practice. Attendees are encouraged to engage directly with faculty during dedicated question-and-answer segments, fostering the kind of frank, collegial dialogue that accelerates learning and elevates clinical standards.

The curriculum spans the breadth of contemporary foregut flexible endoscopic surgery, with a focus on the latest innovations shaping the specialty — from emerging platforms and novel accessories to evolving indications and refined procedural workflows. Whether attendees are refining established techniques or exploring new frontiers in therapeutic endoscopy, this session is designed to provide immediately applicable knowledge and lasting clinical impact.

By the end of this program, participants will be inspired and have gained practical insights they can bring directly back to their practice, supported by a deeper understanding of where the field is heading and the confidence to advance their own endoscopic capabilities.
Reflux Measurement Course
Thursday, Sept. 24
$250
The AFS Reflux Measurement Course, a new half-day offering for 2026, is intended for a broad audience: practicing gastroenterologists and surgeons, including fellows and residents, advance practice nurses, physicians assistants, motility lab nurses, and technicians who want to learn both the fundamentals and more advanced concepts in the physiologic assessment of gastroesophageal reflux. The course will cover the principles behind both catheter-based and wireless pH measurement, impedance detection of volume reflux, techniques for probe placement, study analysis, and report creation. Hands-on sessions for working with the various software platforms used in reflux measurement will be a prominent component of this course, and there will be multiple opportunities to directly interact with experts who can help guide you through challenging questions and considerations.
General Foregut Course
Sunday, Sept. 27
$250
This half-day, case-based course is designed for general gastroenterologists and foregut surgeons seeking a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to foregut disease. The program integrates current concepts in pathophysiology, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic management across the spectrum of esophageal disorders, including motility disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and Barrett’s esophagus.

Through a multidisciplinary framework, expert faculty will emphasize clinical decision-making, appropriate use and interpretation of diagnostic modalities, and the selection of medical, endoscopic, and surgical therapies. Interactive discussions and case-based presentations will focus on practical application, patient selection, and aligning treatment strategies with underlying disease mechanisms.

This course is designed to provide participants with a structured, clinically relevant framework to enhance the evaluation and management of foregut disease in everyday practice.
